Most of us have many of the same errands each month or so that we have got to run.  This could be:

  • Getting a haircut
  • Getting an oil change for the car
  • Going to the Gym
  • Doctor’s appointments

Now, would you let the same guy that changes the oil in your car, cut your hair and also do a health check up on you?  You probably wouldn’t.  Firstly, it would be weird and secondly we expect each professional to be a pro in their given profession.  We don’t really care of our Doctor is good at being a hair stylist but we just want him to be a Doctor.

For the Economics part, it’s all about the profits in the long term.  This is one of the most important parts, yet many overlook it.  If you’re not making money, then what’s the point in doing all this?  The cure is to have high ticket offers on the back-end so you can just plug it into your business without having to worry about fulfillment, support and so forth.

Seriously you can have a 7 figure business with just 1 traffic source and just 1 conversion method.  There are lots and lots of examples to prove this.  For e.g. You see a Facebook Ad for a weight loss course you click and it takes you to a Video Sales Letter, you buy it, and most often there will be 2-3 more VSL’s offering higher ticket programs which will be congruent and complimentary to the main offer.  Then they simply follow up through email to the sales letter or whatever that key method is to offer you special incentives or whatever it is.  It’s a simple funnel and if it converts well and is a nice offer, all they have to do is keep sending traffic to it and the sales will keep piling in.  While they are doing this, they are building up a prospect and a buyers list which they sell other products to in the future.  This is how you get money on demand.  Ain’t that tough.

You just have to focus and get things moving here.  I believe in you and I know you can do this.  Again, The Economics must not be ignored.

Way Better Than Managing Time!

You’ve probably heard of the 80/20 principle before.  It means you can get 80% of your results from 20% of the effort.  So if you can find out what that 20% is, you’ll work less, make more and you will live a much happier and more fulfilling life.  Who doesn’t want that?

  5. Identify the 20% of activities that will give you 80% of your results.
  6. Multiply the 20% of the time that gives you the 80%
  7. Eliminate or reduce the low value activities

Business Lessons From Climbing Aconcagua

I heard there was a recommendation from a friend to watch this documentary.  He rarely gives recommendations and this guy is a business whiz.  He charges $250,000 to $1,000,000 a year for coaching and he’s always fully booked.  He gets a lot of celebs, famous athletes and billionaires.  Anyway, I saw the documentary and it’s pretty cool.  It was filmed completely from a Go Pro camera.

If you would like to check out the documentary, it’s called Climb To Freedom.  You should be able to find it at vimeo.com to rent or buy.  Its about these really successful guys that decide to train and climb this high mountain called Aconcagua.  In this long journey, they each had some type of different, major transformational event.  This is what they would call their Aconcagua.  I don’t want to spoil it for you but I wanted to zero in on what one of the guys said as I believe it could have a big impact on your business and life.

When they began their journey and hit base camp, they were at a high a very high altitude.  It was so high that their bodies were not used to it.  So a period of acclimation came into effect.  As a result one of the guys got a really bad headache.  It was so bad he thought about giving up.  They have barely even started and his head is already pounding.  The he was thinking to himself, this is normal, this is what is to be expected and the headache will pass.

Now, that was power right there for them.  Why was this the case?  It’s because he reframed his headache.  It was inevitable, all it was, is his body adjusting to the high altitude.  This did not completely remove the headache but he was able to deal with it.  It wasn’t holding him back anymore.  Onwards and upwards it was off to conquer.

People will do some odd and weird things these days, right?  Even extreme.  There are firewalkers and you can research on some countries that do this.  Some people will do strange and extreme things in order to meet their dream mate.  I’ve heard people that donate blood as often as they possibly can just to get bills and food money.  People seeking an adrenaline rush, so much so that they’ll jump off of a cliff with nothing but a suit on.  There’s folks working 3 shifts at their jobs just in order to keep up with the Joneses.

It only gets sicker and crazier from here.  So, what’s the driver to this type of behaviour.  It’s usually about something that people intensely want.  When you want something that intensely, you’ll do nearly anything for it.  It could be:

  • A million bucks
  • A political stand

  • Getting that dream man or woman and the feeling of love

Whatever it is, people will do mind-blowing things to get what they desire.  A lot of the time, it’s either deadly or it ruins people’s lives and chances of real success and happiness.  It normally takes them further away from their goals rather than closer.
