How Getting Fired Was The Best Thing That Happened?

Donald Trump’s been in the news a lot lately.  For many years, he made “You’re fired!” the trademark phrase of death on his TV show The Apprentice.  Ironically, he’s now the one getting fired.

Have you ever got fired?  Laid off?  Sacked?  Downsized?  For most people the idea of getting fired scares the mess out of them.  They can’t think of much worse than losing their job except dying or losing a family member.

Jack was like that.  He worked in sales for many years.  He did ok and made a decent living but nothing spectacular.  Then one day, he got downsized.  It was a gut punch.  He got drunk and drowned his sorrows.  Wallowed in depression for weeks.
