Feels like you’re procrastinating but that’s not the real issue here.  Simple as this business can be especially if you’re following:

You’ll still be faced with doing a few things that’ll take some effort and grit for you to get it done.  Even if it’s just pushing through a few mental barriers to starting.  To get your first ad up, to get your first 100 subscribers, to break through your first $10k a month or to take any first step really.

So, here’s something you can keep in mind in these sorts of scenarios.  It comes from a highly successful early stage investor in companies such as Twitter, Uber, Instagram and Kickstarter.  Just to name a few.  Remember this one thing when the going gets tough: “Tonight, I will be in bed.”  Yep.  That’s it.  See, we often intensify what is in essence, a few minutes of discomfort or even if it’s a few hours.  Whatever you’re going through is temporary.  You just have to push through and do it.  Whatever it is, no matter what, tonight, you’ll be in bed.  All is ok.  You’re alright.  Sleep and a new day is on the horizon.  Cool little strategy, right?  I hope this helps.

You’ll have to follow the steps each day and it won’t take too long or be too hard to do but whenever it pushes you a bit out of your comfort zone and routine, remember, tonight, you’ll be in bed.

Done for the day by 5.  Way before:

  • “Hustle your face off!” (Wha??)
  • “Rise and Grind!” (Uhm, no,)
  • “Sleeps for pansies!” (Zzz..)

There’s a few personality types out there that try to make you feel guilty like a loser.  If you’re not working 12-18 hours a day, everyday, then I wonder how many dinner tables are missing a mommy or daddy because of this mentality.  How many beds have one person in them when it’s nighty-nite time.  The other one’s, “Gotta burn the midnight oil, honey!  Gary V said so!”  How many spouses are head first in a game of Candy Crush when they’d feel much more alive and loved if they were out on date night.

Rarely, if ever, does someone say on their deathbed, “I wish, I would have worked more.”  Right?  Here’s the thing.  Working harder is not the answer.  It can only get you so far.  After all, if effort was the answer, then ditch diggers would be some of the wealthiest people on the planet but they’re not.  Working smart is the answer by using leverage however you can.  Always look where you can work smarter and work less, not more and more.  For e.g. What if someone else is doing the hustle for you?  What if the hard work has been done?  Then you can profit from their efforts up to:

  • $1,000
  • $3,000
  • $4,000

Per month without doing any of the heavy lifting.

This means you’re all the way in.  Amor Fati is a Latin term that basically means: “Love of one’s fate.”  To accept the events or situations in one’s life and to even thrive in them.  Whatever you’re going through, think of things like this, what happens when you throw something in a scorching hot fire?  Junk, trash, good, bad, terrible, it simply becomes fuel for the flames.  It burns stronger and brighter.  Give it all you’ve got.

A powerful thought is when we live like a fire.  Everything we experience is treated like fuel and makes us that much stronger: “Amor Fati!”  Building an online business like anything worthwhile will have it’s challenges and ups and downs.  Use it all as fuel because the only way up is to figure the next step out and to just keep going and going.  If you need a great system to follow:

Like to work less and play more?  The book, The 4 Hour Workweek has been on the bestseller list for years now.  From the countless number of people that have read it, I believe they have all come to a simple realisation: “I should work less and have more adventures.”  Now, I’m not sure what “Adventure” is for you:

  • Travelling to Greece, Italy or Paris?
  • Touring pubs in Scotland?
  • Beaches in Costa Rica?
  • All of the above?

Maybe it’s quality time with your mate, kids or grandkids.  It could be learning a new language or mastering a musical instrument.  Maybe adventure for you is being done with work by noon and then cooking great meals and hanging out with friends and family having great laughs and listening to your favourite music.

Whatever it is for you, it probably does not include being stuck in a cubicle in a job you hate or that takes up all your time.  It likely doesn’t include having no time for yourself, friends or family.  It won’t involve having financial worries or pleasure either, right?

Now, you can have a great income but no life.  No time to enjoy what you have with those whom you love.  The book calls those folks the “Old Rich.”  The New Rich (NR) focus on having the time and income to do what we love without being tied down by the shackles of a career or anything else.  The core foundation to set this all up for yourself will be by leveraging automation.

Value has to be produced, something has to get done for income to come in regularly.  Automation makes it happen.  That’s why the Internet is so incredible for this.  You can set up a business on the side to automate things so you have a nice income and an incredible life.

Organic Path To Earn More And Stress Less

It’s not about doing more.  What causes overwhelm and procrastination?  What steals away our lifestyles and costs us larger incomes?  Often, this is caused by having too much on our already full plates.  Then having a new and endless buffet of additional things begging for our attention and time each and every day.  For e.g. FB feeds, Email, Twitter, Instagram, Work and Life events.  This causes us to lose access to the few things we do need: Clarity + Focus +? = Results.  Get clarity.  It brings things back down to simple and manageable for you.

The stress melts away and the results can come flooding in more organically.  A tip to get more clarity and focus?  The ? above.  The solution may surprise you.  It’s action.  When it comes to clarity and focus to get what we want, reading for information is like drinking salt water.  It just makes you more thirsty.  Action is the key.  The simpler the actions you need to take, the easier and better it is.

That’s why I use this.
