No One Is Coming And See Why This Is Good

Life changing note today.  This tidbit sounds sobering but it’s one of the best things most really successful people eventually realise.  It’s this: No One Is Coming.  Do you want to escape a job or circumstance you hate?  Then make it happen because no one is coming to do it for you.  Are you tired of living paycheck to paycheck?  No one is coming.  Do you want to start spending less and making more?  Do you want to make 6-7 figures a year while working part time?  So, you can travel, play and spend the time with loved one?  No one is coming.

It’s up to you to take life by the horns and make it happen.  If you wait for someone to come give you something, what you will usually get is life’s scraps.  You’ll feed into the plan of what someone else wants for themselves.  Again, sounds like tough love?  Yet, realising this gives you a total responsibility and power to create whatever type of life you want.  Most are waiting for opportunities and changes to fall in their laps or for others to make things happen for them.  In fact, many are in a career because their parents were in that career or because someone else came and offered it to them but it may not be what they wanted for themselves.  No one is coming.  That gives you the power.

Once you start taking action and getting what you want, you’ll see how powerful this statement actually is.  I say, embrace life’s truths such as these.  Don’t avoid them or push them under the rug.  Get what you want.  You don’t need any permission.

Are there too many opportunities?  Do you know what to decide?  It’s wasn’t too long ago that most of us didn’t have a lot of choices as to our careers and futures.  There was school, college or getting into a family business.  It wasn’t just a ton of more options than that.  Today, we’re bombarded with info and opportunity.  It can be hard to choose.  We want a handful of everything.  We don’t want to miss out.

I’m reminded of a few fables.  The man who chases two rabbits catches neither one.  There’s a lot of truth to that.  There’s another story of a donkey that’s standing halfway between a pile of hay and a bucket of water.  He keeps looking left to the hay and then right to the water trying to decide.  Hay or water and hay or water?  He’s unable to decide and eventually falls over dead of hunger and thirst.  With just a little bit of insight, he would have realised he could clearly go drink the water.  Then walk over and eat the hay but you can’t do both at once, right?

So, in short, we can do anything in life we want to do but we can only pick one thing at a time.  We can’t chase two rabbits at once.  They’ll just get us tired and hungry.  There’s lots of ways we can apply this in our lives, isn’t there?  This is one reason why the business model I use works extremely well.  Building an online business has lots of moving parts to it usually.  Product development, fulfilment, support, sales, marketing and on and on it goes.

The Income Path I’ve Chosen

It’s good to stop and rethink priorities.  There’s an article called: “The Tail End” which powerfully shows how short life truly is.  Here’s one gem: Turns out by the time most of us finish high school, we’ve already used up 93% of our in-person, parent time.  That leaves less than 7% of our time left to be with them.  For many of us, we now live in different cities and have our own families.  It makes getting together often hard to do.  Same goes if we’ve got brothers or sisters.  We may only have 10-15% of available time left with them now.  We’re in, “The tail end.”

The guy that actually wrote this article sadly experienced his dad unexpectedly passing away.  He was at his dad’s bedside.  Isn’t it true?  We never know how much time we have left with those we love, do we?  Yet, this can help us from time to time to rethink our personal priorities.  Not squandering away your life, our time or the opportunities we have in front of us.

Making sure our focus is on the more important things.  I’m not sure about you but I certainly don’t plan to spend the next 2o years stuck behind a stuffy cubicle working 40-60 hours a week, M-F and leaving no time to enjoy time with those I love most.  This is especially when there’s so many alternatives and ways we can work less, earn more and have a great lifestyle and freedom.  What will you decide to do?

Try This If You Stare At A Computer For Hours And Get Nothing Done

Want $4k every month?  Part time?  Could this be holding you back?  Two little words: “What if.”  They hold many people back from the income and lifestyle freedoms they deserve.  What if puts you into the future.  We don’t know what will happen in the future.  None of us do.  So, it does zero good to ruminate on it.  It’s best to focus on: “What next.”  What do you need to do right now to get what you want?  Just the next step.  With out over thinking consequences or crazy what if scenarios that will never support you and your grand plans for your life.  For e.g. Many in this business realise how valuable it can be if they’ll build up their own email list.

They can get thousands and thousands of interested people on their email newsletters and at the click of a button.  They all get powerful, valuable messages and are exposed to opportunities that can change their lives for the better.  Massive leverage, right?  It’s a great way to get a message out and positively help others as well and to create a great income for yourself and your family.  Yet, many hold themselves back by the what if drama going on in their heads.  This could be:

  • What if they don’t like what I write?
  • What if they unsubscribe?
  • What if they reply back and say nasty things to me?
  • What if they hit the spam button?

On and on the what ifs go until many will do nothing.  There’s a couple of realisations here.  Are any of these what ifs serious enough to hold you back?  What you’ll see is this is simply the cost of running an online business, not a hobby and everybody will experience these things.  Even the best writers and marketers in the world will face these things.  Think everyone will love Stephen King’s voice or Oprah’s?  Of course not.  Tastes and lives change.  People may need and want to hear your message one day but the next day, they may have something else happening where it’s now a distraction.

So, we just can’t be over concerned with all the what ifs that may happen.  People will unsub, hit spam, say nice and mean things to you but that’s on them and not on you, right?  Also think of the positives here.  Why would you want to talk to a person that doesn’t want to hear from you?  Unsubs are good.  People who reply back in angst are probably not happy in some area of their life.  Hopefully what you say may brighten up their day a bit when they tell you that or not.  The many that do like your message and many will, you’ll be helping them and the entire world to become better with each little message you send out without attachment to the outcome.

Is this making sense?  I hope this helps.  Get out there, do what you want and don’t worry so much about the what ifs.  Some will happen, some won’t and so what.  One of the greatest benefits too is the income and freedom it’ll bring you, right?  Something like sending out regular emails and building an email list up can bring you a nice $4k plus per month income on the side especially when you pair it with something like this:

The Cascade Effect To More Income And Happiness

Small things that yield you big results.  One small action can set off a cascade of many other great things to happen to you during the rest of your day but it’s not always easy to see this.  For e.g. Exercising isn’t always easy to get up and do.  It takes time and effort, right?  It may even feel like we’re making a sacrifice when we head off to the gym or go out and run especially if we’ve been able to stick to a routine in the past and we’re always back to square one or worse.

However, getting up at the crack of dawn, strapping on your shoes and going for a walk or run even for just 15 to 30 minutes or a gym work out?  It sets off a cascade effect for the rest of your day.  You can work out your inner demons as you’re running and doing exercises.  You feel more energy and confidence.  You end up eating better.  You feel more self control.  Before you know it, you’re looking better, making better decisions, you are happier and you’re quitting bad habits.  People notice that you’re glowing now.  It started with one, small, tiny but hard to start action.  Sure, you may or may not feel this way on day one but a few days or weeks in, the effect will happen.

Do you see how this works?  The same thing can happen in other areas of your life too by using this system.
