Slows down your days so you can enjoy what’s most important for you.  There’s a great movie: A Good Year, starring Russell Crowe.  Have you seen it?  Russell’s character is this “Big wig” investment banker whose uncle has just passed away.  His uncle is a man who enjoys life to the full.  He inherits the home and the vineyard the home sits on.

So, he has to go to his uncle’s estate in Provence, a charming place he used to love visiting when he was a young boy.  He’d play chess, swim, walk the vineyards and sample wine with his uncle.  Yet, he’d not been there in over 10 years.  He was so caught up in his work life that when he missed his flight to get back home.  His assistant said he’d tell folks he was on holiday.  His reply: “Do not say I’m on holiday, that’s worse than dying.”

It’s crazy how people tie their work to their identity and who they are like you’re something special if you sleep under a desk and work till you have an early heart attack.  Yet, isn’t that how most folks are even on the normal end of the scale.  Most are too busy to enjoy life and to invest in enriching experiences.  Are you seeing this too in the busy world we live in?

Anyway, it’s a great movie about Russell getting back to his roots to experiencing life, enjoying a cool breeze, sipping a glass of good wine and stopping to smell the roses.  Now, again, the movie is called A Good Year but I think it’s really about setting up good days for ourselves.  I’m curious, what would an ideal, normal, M-F day look like for you?  I’d encourage you to write it down.  Some things you could probably start doing, right away.

Here’s how to do it starting now.  A truth many forget especially if they’re struggling for sales is that people love to buy.  Your customers love to buy.  Many of your ideal customers are likely buying something this very moment.  Will they be happy to buy from you?  Maybe.

Even the gurus get this wrong.  I have a quick tip for you today to bump up your commission or to quickly go from zero sales to many.  Do this, paint a realistic picture of the outcome people are getting as a result of what you’re offering.  Do not talk about the product itself.  The product is simply the mechanism to help people get what they want, right?  Think of it this way, nobody paints a picture of gym equipment and dumbbells to help motivate people to get in shape.  They sell them on the result, 6 pack abs on the beach and looking great in swimsuits.

People don’t care about our fancy HD videos or all the hard work we put into it.  Which sounds better: “Sit down at your computer and watch my 83 HD videos that will teach you how to make money from home” or “Imagine sitting down at the beach at a 5 star resort, working a few hours from the comfort of your laptop with complete financial freedom.”  The idea is to sell the outcome and not the product.

Ask: “What experience will people want as a result of what I’m offering them?”  Now, people want different things.  A young person may want to travel the globe.  A retired person may want more time with his grandkids and for hobbies.  So, in your communications, make sure to speak appropriately to your audience and hit on their different wants and desires over time, cool?  Then help them get there.  If a simple lifestyle friendly biz that allows you the opportunity to earn a great income on the side, while you travel, work from home or from any place you want sounds like it’s up your alley too.

Big sales and bigger fulfilment.  People these days are full up with information.  Yet, they’re starving for an ounce of transformation or actual results.  A pdf or a video module or a live event do nothing to impact your life if it all stays at the info level, right?  Want to boost up your profits and impact others lives for the better?  Always focus on actually doing all you can to help people actually get real, tangible results.
