There’s an ancient marketing proverb which is a simple little proverb but one which contains deep truths that everyone who has ever thought of going into marketing should know.  Here it is: “People don’t want a drill, they want a hole.”

So, how do you sell more drills?  You need to prove to your prospects that your drills can make holes.  You may have the fanciest system in the world, the coolest service or the greatest product but if you can’t show your prospects your product generates the results that they’re ultimately looking for, it’s not gonna sell.
